New limits on employment rights awards announced

The government has published details of the latest awards and payments that may be made in certain employment rights cases.
The new limits are index-linked and came into effect on 1 February.
They cover the maximum amount of compensatory awards for unfair dismissal; the limit on guarantee payments made when employees are not provided with work; and the minimum amount of compensation for exclusion or expulsion from a trade union.
